Associations
The Nation have some active associations that have activities at the Nation. Among these are the female choir Discordia, the wind orchestra Wijkmanska Blecket and the board game association. If you want to start up a new association you are more than welcome to do so – all engagements makes us happy! Discordia

Wijkmanska blecket
The Nation’s very own wind orchestra! Everyone are welcome to join, regardless of previous skill. If you want to learn how to play an instrument, there are many happy musicians in Blecket who can teach you. Blecket have their rehearsals at Wednesdays, between 19 – 22, in the grand hall at the Nation. All you have to do is show up!

The culture committee
The culture committee’s function at the Nation is to enable the members of the Nation to enjoy cultural activities during the student time. Visits to theatres and museums are examples of the activities they arrange.

The library committee
The library committee is responsible for keeping the library open and up to date. Among the activities the library committee have hosted, literature evenings and book circles can be mentioned. Event will show up on Facebook for evenings of fika and discussions about books. If you want to join, send an email to the Librarian at [email protected].
The spex group
Spex is a typical part of student life in Uppsala. It is one of the most fun things to do so come and do it at Uplands! We do not have an active spex group at the moment, but if you have ever been interested in being an actor, producers or screen writer – this is the perfect start!

Start a new association
Do you feel like there’s something missing among our associations? You are more than welcome to start a new one! Would you like to play board games, arrange a language café, start sports activities? Anything is possible!
